TANSPEC: TIFR-ARIES Near-infrared Spectrometer
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present the design and performance of TANSPEC, a medium-resolution $0.55-2.5~\mu$m cryogenic spectrometer imager, now in operation at 3.6-m Devasthal Optical Telescope (DOT), Nainital, India. The TANSPEC provides three modes which include, photometry with broad- narrow-band filters, spectroscopy short slits 20$^{\prime \prime}$ length different widths (from 0.5$^{\prime to 4.0$^{\prime \prime}$) cross-dispersed mode resolving power R $\sim$2750, long 60$^{\prime prism $\sim$100-350. TANSPEC's imager field view \prime} \times 60^{\prime plate scale 0.245$^{\prime \prime}$/pixel on DOT. was successfully commissioned during April-May 2019 subsequent characterization astronomical observations are presented here. has been made available worldwide community for science from October 2020.

Mimir, a new facility-class near-infrared instrument for the 1.8 m Perkins telescope on Anderson Mesa outside Flagstaff, Arizona, was commissioned and has been operating for three years. Mimir is multifunction, performing wide-field (F=5) and narrow-field (F=17) imaging, long-slit spectroscopy, and imaging polarimetry. The F=5 mode images at 0.59′′ per pixel onto the 1024 × 1024 pixel ALADDIN I...
متن کاملNear-Infrared Grating Spectrometer for Mobile Phone Applications
Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is a well-established technique for the chemical analysis of organic and inorganic matter. Accordingly, spectroscopic instrumentation of different complexity has been developed and is currently commercially available. However, there are an increasing number of new mobile applications that have come into focus and that cannot be addressed by the existing technolo...
متن کاملA Near-Infrared Spectrometer Based on Novel Grating Light Modulators
A near-infrared spectrometer based on novel MOEMS grating light modulators is proposed. The spectrum detection method that combines a grating light modulator array with a single near-infrared detector has been applied. Firstly, optics theory has been used to analyze the essential principles of the proposed spectroscopic sensor. Secondly, the grating light modulators have been designed and fabri...
متن کاملPhotonic bandgap infrared spectrometer.
We propose and demonstrate an infrared (IR) absorption spectrometer, made with a spatially variable photonic bandgap (PBG) structure, a blackbody source, and a simple IR detector, to identify the IR molecular fingerprints of analyte molecules. The PBG-based structure consists of thermally evaporated, IR transparent, high-refractive-index chalcogenide quarter-wave stacks (QWS) with a cavity laye...
متن کاملbrain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)
near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...
